ABM Encourage Students to Create A Creative Business #Startup4students

Malang, (11/11/2019) ABM had held interesting workshop themed #StartUp4Students Your Path To Become a Young Entrepreneur. It was attended by 1st semester students who took Mega Creativity course, which is one of the major courses that teach them to think creative-constructively.

The aim of the workshop was to build entrepreneur spirit so they are ready to do business. Presented by several speakers who are start-up founders, which is expected to open students’ mindset on the importance to own a business and start it.

The workshop was presented by Dinar Hana, Hana Gemilang CEO & Founder (non-formal education association); Arif Fikrul, owner of Antz Creator (wedding photography and videography); and Andina Paramitha, director of Ngalup.co (coworking space) who is also ABM outstanding alumni.

According to Dinar Hana, establishing a business needs 3 main pillars, they are mindset, skillset, and soulset. He said, “To start a business, you need to set the goal first, the basic ideas, and also the business plan and the problems. Take notes on all the problems and bring up the solution, then sell the solutions to others.”

Nowadays era, which put forward technology and take a race of giving innovation in attracting customers, all businessmen are demanded to be open minded in all things. It is more important for them to pay attention to value the owned start-up. Quoted what Andina Paramita stated, that a start-up or business has to follow the era, whether from the management, the quality control, and the products. From all of
them, the most important one is the long-term value given to people. This factor is in line with one of GITA project goal. GITA project is an international project run by ABM along with 7 domestic colleges and 4 European universities. This project is funded by Erasmus+ European Union.

From 300 ABM students attended, they were grouped into several business team according to their own passion. The best ten businesses will get special direction so they will become a successful start-up. They will be incubated to sharpen their creative business ideas and also so they can exchange their ideas to bring up an innovative solution. The incubation process will be done in ABM Hub, a business
incubator owned by ABM.
